Subodh, I just read your comment on my Islam - A Virus. My response -

I personally think, not only you but 99% of the world is misunderstanding Islam. Only Christianity was as dangerous as Islam is now in history. Fortunately, now Christianity is separated from government and almost all christian majority countries are secular. On the other hand, in all Islamic majority countries minorities are persecuted (read the population timeline of Hindus from Independence to now in Pakistan and Bangladesh for an example). Islam is a governing system in its present form; not a religion. Many think that they are "broadminded" as they try to "understand" Islam. Our future generations will be the ones to pay for our "broadminded-ness". Nobody has a problem with Islam if they stop using it to govern a country. Also important are apostasy, dhimmi laws.

Subodh, I am sorry if you perceived me harsh. I was not really angry or hurt or any such thing. I just thought Sarath Amrutham's comment (not the second one, but the first one) out of place because before I even started talking about my way of looking at things in my post I talked about the basic assumption to be made before reading on. Anyway, I hope we can remain civil and keep exchanging views whenever we get a chance.

Thanks Sarath,
ofcourse you are right, if mind is not present we can not experience any thing..and waht am saying about 'atman reality and rest is illusion' is not belief. it can be experienced...there are ways..Ok..
and try to look at your post sas achievement, cause am a novice in physics and still bit able to understand and curious what you are saying through your posts..surely credit goes to you..not to me..in explaining these things...and ofcourse will be more specific infuture in asking my doubts...:))
thanks and take care..subodh

Come on, Subodh, don't put words into my mouth. I did not say your presence or doubts hurt me. I said that that post is not the place to talk about logic when denying the mind. What Sarath Amrutham said about time and light are very vague and are applicable to any concept. Replace time by space and events by locations, you have space. Replace light by any noun you can think of and that sentence will make sense. Vagueness, in my opinion, should stop being taken as profoundity. Whatever you have stated is an opinion, a belief. When there is no proof; there is no logic to it. It is like saying when I have no eyes, visuals disappear.

Sarath C,
what Sarath A is saying about 'Time' is he wrong..I liked what he said...
If my presence or doubts have hurt you, I rollback them and apologies for them...:))

probably you are right..
and i was reading at it only and only from logical and philosophical way not from the physics you are explaining..and with a spritual thought in my mind ( the thought is other than atman, everything is just a illusion) our mind is the only substance that generates different thoguhts about the things which we see, experience, once those thougths are stopped/dissapear..none remains..
above thought rose in my mind when I was reading sarath A..
thanks and take care...subodh

I request you to read paragraph 3 of my post again. I thought I was pretty clear there. Will elaborate a bit here. If you think your mind is giving you false conclusions, then stop thinking. I don''t understand how else you can make assumptions other than using your mind. And I just don''t understand how can somebody say something is "logically" correct, which is a matter of reasoning carried out through mind while saying that their mind gives false results while making assumptions, measurements, visualizations, or verbalizations. I don''t know, or care for now, if you have a superior organ to make your "logical" statements through other than your mind. As I said, in the post, this is not the place for you if you don''t assume you have the ability to understand everything. Thanks for reading the post; but I don''t think this is the place for these comments.

Subodh, I did not mean my nextx post will be after 3-4 months; just the black-hole picture of the universe. Before that we''ll have other stuff :-)

About posting science stuff for kids; I am not so sure they need it. Kids have genuine thirst for knowledge unlike most of us adults. If they are not influenced by adults, they would do just well in finding what they need. It is the adults I think who need help in regaining the wonder and inquisitiveness of a kid :-)
